Forum Theatre on Federalism
Alliance for Peace (AfP Nepal) in collaboration with Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) and DEMO Finland has been implementing 'Youth and Constitution Building Initiative' as a platform for discussion. The aim is to strengthening the understanding of the CA process and developing knowledge resources focusing on young women and the constitution building process.
The initiative has established a Youth Expert Group (YEG) comprising of representatives from the Constituent Assembly (CA), lawyers, political party members and affiliates as well as civil society.
The YEG members are working to support the participatory and inclusive constitution building process from a youth and gender perspective. The group has been involved in different dialogues, seminar, round table discussions and also filing submissions to CA from a youth perspective.
We are about to complete a series of seminar on federalism and youth. The final meeting summarizing the different perspective of federalism will be presented in a drama presented by the Forum Theatre (open ended drama) on 25 June 2009 at Patan Durbar Square at 11:00. This drama will try to challenge myths and create a knowledge base for future decision regarding leaders' opinions. The audience will include CA members, youth leaders and the general public. You are welcome to view the drama and take part in the discussions to follow.
